Skull
Got tat, how long do I need to keep putting A&D ointment on it?
Four days, four to five times a day! My left shoulder is starting to smell like baby butt. So here we go.

we used to use Neosporin.
Then we used H2 Ocean' Now we are using BAG BALM You can get it at Walgreens If u Have one. iTS About $8.00 a tub. Just keep puttin it on for about a week or so. Then you can use regualr lotion NOTHING with Scent. Scent free. Like Eucerin or Cetaphil. At LEAST twice a day. Keep after it.

Don't you think you should ask before you get the tattoo?????
Last couple times I put A&D for 1st day. The lubidermon for week or so. My 1st tat was using neoporene and preperation H. I think the lubiderm is thinner and breaths better.

Every shop seems to want you to use something different.
Go with whatever they said. On mine, they said NO tripple antibiotic ointments, to just use Bacitracin for a few days (which I did) then unscented lotion (I think I used Lubriderm). Worked out OK. http://www.eurekaspringstattoos.com/aftercare.html

There is alot of opinions on what touse. Some people say the neosporin or bacitracin leach color. I dunno. Its permananent
Some shops want it inthe open rigth away, some want it covered in a bandage for a few hours, some want plastic over it. I had bad reaction to plastic. I was working in a office, and didn't want goop on my shirt. Got a bunch of red bumps. Looking back if I was using lubiderm, there probably would have been no goop to get on my shirt.
