Muffican, and the "R" is Robo. It's actually a Street Glide.

Thanks! I really do love this bike!

One question though... What is buffeting on a motorcycle? I feel the push of wind, it is much less than on an open face helmet when on a bike like my Night Train or when I'm skydiving with an open helmet, but I don't feel the "shake" that I read so much about. Maybe I have learned to reposition my head without thinking, to minimize buffeting. I feel buffeting skydiving sometimes, but it is usually when I'm transitioning.

CAUTION! You have entered a Harley based forum. Apply a liberal amount of BS repellent to skin before reading anything by anybody.

In the limited 100 miles that I put on the MRG yesterday I learned that I am completely smitten with this bike.

First, it rides so much nicer than my Softail did. The seat is much more comfortable for my Noassatall, the Night Train was uncomfortable in about 30 minutes and I rode to quick stop places just to get relief. This bike had me roaming around, neither needing nor wanting to stop because of the pain.

The shorty windshield doesn't really bother me with the 3/4 helmet and goggles. Buffeting is not an issue at freeway speeds or in town, I can see where it could be irritating on long rides, but it isn't bad. The fairing keeping the wind off of my torso was very welcomed here in Alaska. I used to dislike riding up here because I always felt like a drag chute due to my long torso and low weight, Alaska has some mean winds that just kick up whenever it's the least convenient for a motorcycle-riding stick figure.

Cruise control is awesome, but on the Glenn Highway, it is pointless. No one up here can maintain a constant speed.

The GPS is handy as most of the roads in Anchorage proper are one-way and it keeps the U-turns (and route diversions) to a minimum.

The stereo is SOOOOOOOO awesome! I love music, and I seriously enjoy being serenaded by Parliament, Tom Jones, and Hank Williams as I ride. The drivers around me weren't as enamored, but I really don't care. The only down side is I tend to dance and sing with the music. I'm sure that it looks really funny and catching a piece of pea gravel in the back of your throat at 70 MPH ain't cool at all. Don't ask, it really ain't cool, pretty funny afterwards, but painful as all get out at the moment of impact!

The only difficult difference to overcome so far is U-turns. My seated position and the center of gravity are VERY different from the Night Train. Lots of parking lot practice this week should help that.

Going out to eat last night, my buddy and his wife (on a 2011 Wide Glide) asked me to lock their half helmets in the bags, and asked me to carry their "doggy bag" back for them (not gonna happen twice!).

Nice bike, I think I'm gonna keep this one about as long as my 1987 Softail (20 years +).

Thanks to you guys that persuaded me to trade (Except Russ, of course)!
Free at last, free at last
