I went. I am embarrassed to say that I do not have natural ability. Everything was done in 1st gear. I could almost do the tight circles and cone weaving but I need practice. I live across the street from a shopping center parking lot and I have a Sportster with which to practice. I had the RG there and the saddlebags kept hitting the cones. As far as curves on twisties I know what I have been doing wrong and that part is easy to fix. Anyways, I will be practicing and shouldn't tick anybody off next time. The instructors were good and I know what I need to do.

And sometimes one can overthink stuff. Head up, look where you want the bike to go. If you were hitting cones with the saddlebags, you were looking at the outside edge of the cones.

Practice what you will ride. It's much easier to transfer skills from a touring bike to an fx than the other way around. It should actually be easier on the tourer due to the great steering geometry. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
