Cash bonuses from Massachusetts
Cash Bonuses from Massachusetts
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is offering cash bonuses to service members from our state on active duty. Those who have served since 9/11/2001 are eligible - $500 for active duty members, and $1,000 for veterans who served in Iraq or Afghanistan. There's no catch. It's called the Welcome Home Bonus and it honors Massachusetts' finest. Please pass this information to any of your soldiers or sailors from the state of Massachusetts and encourage them to apply for their bonus. I called the state Treasurers Officer to verify this offer and sure enough it's legitimate. Free - tax deductible - money from the state of MA! It does take some leg work. Your town of legal residence has to verify your address and seal the document before you can mail it into the Treasurer's Office. This can be done via mail or if your relatives still live in MA they can do it at town hall and mail it back. You don't have to be a current resident of MA to apply. You only have to have been a resident of MA anytime 6 months prior to September 11, 2001 or later on active duty. |
