Adult happy meal

When on the go.

Involved in high adventure like a two day hike or a camping ride trip or prolong boat voyage.

I found good old, government issue MREs (Meal, ready to eat) are very cool.

these little babies are chock a block full of all the necessary stuff to keep you fully energized.

they keep you regular, give you a postive attitude and get you going.

the only down side is they are expensive, weigh alot and are MREs. (SOS)

Those look somewhat different from the ones we get--maybe a commercial version?

Less calorie, less fat content. Pretty much off-the-shelf items put into packages.

Like saltines...what is the shelf life of a saltine if unopened?

I LOVE MREs.
The Pork Chow Mein is the best.
And that plasticy-chocolate covered cookie bar....Heaven...

Back in the mid 70's we were still eating C-rations. I tried a couple experimental MRE's and found I preferred C-rats.

For nostaglia sake, I'd like to eat a C-rat again...but there can't be any around still eatable.

I've seen an actual fist fight over the chocolate-mint pound cakes.
