Its 8:40 PM here on the east coast. I have never heard of tri-tip so I looked it up and studied it. While I am sure it is a very good cut of meat making it a great steak I would still vote for a rib eye, my favorite cut. Either way, medium-rare, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy.

OK, so is a tri tip know as a ball tip or...? on the East coast.
If I have marbled steak my go to is the Kansas City Strip. In fact some is sitting in the fridge with salt & pepper on it waiting to go on the fire with some asparagus later this evening.
