Better, but still booted every 3 or 4 page changes....... It was every page change a few days ago

I haven't had a problem with any of my computers(WindblowsXP laptop, iPhone or iPad). Except on occasion I'm the only one here according to the front page list of who's online.

The pages sure are loading faster since somebody started saying something about that issue.

I see the forum with too many different platforms; iphone5s old TapaCrapa; iPad *new* TapaCrapa and FireFox on an XP and a Win7/64 desktop plus a Win7/64 laptop..
I move between them so often (just the first three today) I'm not surprised by having to log in. In general, I've not had a huge problem with that or bothered to try to track the events.
Tonight I did notice that the iPad which I did not use since Wednesday DID have me logged out and forgotten. I have just assumed it was app related.
I HAVE noticed that the pages are loading rather smartly, now.

EDIT: the iPad was logged out because I was viewing in Safari. Tappa was still connected when I switched over.

On a separate Tapa-Rant, this new version now defaults on opening to "Picks".
Troubling about this is that I don't know who "picked" the images that show on the resulting screen....but I surely did not.
I mean, the opening screen looks like this:

You know, Ricky brings up a good point.

I wonder if the problems stem from how the cookies produced by the forum software react with the various browsers that we all use to view these forums.

The cookies are the link between our computers and the server storing the forum software. The cookies are what remember our login info and transfer that info back to the server while we surf around here. That way the server will fill out the requests as the cookies ask for them. The browser then takes that info and shows us what we wanna see.

It seems to me that the shelf life of the cookies is terribly short........

So, in other words, are we being passed bad cookies?
