Patio

Any got a cool patios? Been spending so much time out here, I want to do more. Though I know, once I go to work, I'll forget about it.

Starting by cleaning up, bullet ridden washer stays. Got a big chest for storing stuff. Got a hose reel, instead of ball of crap.

Bought umbrella tonight. Going to Fleet Farm tomorrow see if they still got cast iron bases. don't want to screw around with platic sand filled ones.

Stuffs on sale, but getting slim pickings.

Was at a house with marine speakers mounted in eaves. Cool, but I also wonder if just boom box is simple enough. Was reading about wireless speakers you can hook up to computer, that would be cool. But $700.

Thats about as far as I got. I am on a 5 year plan.

I built my patio in 2004 and we love it. it is 68 feet wide by 14 feet deep. nice lighting and all. I was going to put up speakers but that part never happened. I got picks if you would like to see it.

Its colorful. Nice flowers. I am not flower guy, but I would do something if it came back every year. I am not planting every spring. Thats what women are for.
I been wanting couple of chairs with cushions and foot stools. Simple. Everything now is like somehting sorta out of the house, very fancy. Not the man that is bothering me, but the look. I don't want to commit to anything.

68' is big. Concrete or pavers?

I got concrete about 20x10. Thingking about going out 6-7 feet. Keep the dogs from pooping so close.

Want to put to poles in the ground, with hooks. The either do simple hooks on clothes line or retractable. So don't have to look at it all the time, nd for cutting and plowing. I got real temporary line for 2 years. cause I don't want it on patio, but it so so convient, canrun out there naked.

Drive a piece of pvc in the ground and stick the umbrella in it. Quick fix.

Got concrete patio, but thats a good idea.

I was thinking of sleave PVC or just metal pipe for tiki torches, so they are easy to put back.

I really liked Karens idea of retractable clothes line. Though I will probablyu just do hooks, don;'t tell her yet. I like having a clothes line, I like it near the house, but I just don;'t like it there.

Thinking 4x4 treated lumber each end of patio, with eye hook. maybe wrought iron plant hangers, solar lights or out door thermometer. Keep in mind I am hillbilly with money.

All nice patios, I like clean look. But I am a slave to convience, and a slob, so everything gets left out. Hoping storage will help. But grills are still out there.

I wasn't able to do a garden this year, so did cukes and tomatoes on patio. I've enjoyed it, you can really watch them grow. Other wise I am kinda neglectful.

I've been seeing the green metal hose stands, 42" with hose bib. But no way to mount them. I like the idea, of having hose bib up high. If a guy was really ambitious he would get some dope and new rubber washers and leave the hose on to the bib all the time.

I took a t post, cut to length, and the ground the nubs off, so hose stand would slide over. Pretty happy with myself.
