H-D Spark Plug Warning
Did a leakdown and compression test on a buddies bike today since we thought there was a problem.
Compression and leakdown were good. He went to put the plug back in and it broke in two. Had a leak from the plug! The H-D (Champion) plug was in two pieces and barely holding together - it would have blown out of the head soon. Where it broke off you could see it had been blowing gases out. It was definitely not over-torqued. So we checked the other H-D plug... the electrode was atleast 1mm off center - burning HOT on the close side and cold on the other. So that was a lesson learned for the day - compression leak from a spark plug was a new one for me. ANYWAYS... if you've put in H-D (Champion) plugs recently may want to pull and check them. Getting 2 bad ones at once seems really weird I'm thinking there's a bad batch out there.

Thanks for the heads up, I've heard of plugs leaking at the insulator, but never saw one personally.
