Love him or hate him, Steve Jobs was one of the true computing visionaries of our lifetime. Founded Apple in his garage, fired at 30 from his own company so he goes and starts a movie studio that some of you might have heard of (Pixar), gets begged to return to Apple and takes them from the brink of bankruptcy to the largest technology company in the world.

The world talks a lot about his legendary temper with co-workers that failed to meet his lofty expectations but this guy was also a billionaire that lived in a house that looks a lot like the average family with no gates or walls surrounding it. He was also a devoted family man and philanthropist on top of his achievements at work.

His commencement speech at Stanford after his initial diagnosis with cancer says a lot about him. It's work checking out.
