FLHT tank on a FXR
just got back pickin up my FLHT tank for my FXR...will increase the size from 4 to 5.2.
sits pretty good...little high in the front but I'm goin to cut the front mounts off and raise them (lowering the tank) by 1 1/2"  for the back mount I'll just have to drill and tap a couple holes...FLH mount is more narrow than FXR  petcock position is forward instead of rearward...no prob  clears the fairing brackets (doesn't look like it here but its just the angle)  I'll keep ya posted on progress...looking forward to getting more than 100 miles before reserve.

I think it looks good like it is, the line of the tank flows with the seat nicely.

found an issue.....crossover is angled forward and runs right into the boxed section of the frame about 5" from the neck...I'm going thru the frame

That would be a good addition to my winter bike. A 94 sportster with buel heads that lived under a porch for a few years.

I thought about doing that when I rebuilding the Lowrider, but went with 5-gal fatbobs instead. Looks pretty good.
