ABS Brake evaluation

I hope this works. These tests were quite interesting to watch. We also
tested a Buell Ulyses. But that data was not published, 'cuz it was a last minute thing.

Do you know what year bikes those are?
The new ABS with Brembo brakes is supposed to be MUCH better than the old Police ABS Harley offered.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if they have the same system that is on the standard Tourers, or a police only system?
Great information in the test. The Harleys actually did a little better than I expected.

The Civilian and Police, braking (and ABS) systems are identical. I've ridden both, and the '08 system takes quite a bit of getting used to. It gets into ABS much more quickly than the earlier system, since the Brembo brakes are so much more efficient (they generate more friction, thus the same amount of lever pull that used to be required for maximum non-ABS braking, now is way too much). Again, this is not a "fault" merely a transition issue between the '07 and older, versus the '08's.

I appreciate hearing the difference from someone who actually knows. Thanks for sharing. I have the Brembos, but not the ABS. I really like the feel of them and they seem to really be an improvement over my '04's brakes.
