tire poll
After reading all the different tire recommendations, can someone do a poll to see what all the members have mounted right now?
I don't know all the choices, but will have to choose my first new tires this spring...

Right now, take-off stockers.
Next, Dunlop Elite 3. Keeping after your pressure weekly will almost double your tire life.

Why Dunlop elite 3? I been running stock 402s.
Been curious about other tires, alot to spend, when you don't know. Tons of opinions. Know that I got 2nd bike, maybe put better handling tire on FLHR, won't be putting as many miles on. For me, the problem with the tires that don;t last as long, as you always seem to be getting ready for a trip, do you change or not.

Stock Dunlop 402's, and that's what I'll be puttin' on this spring, they've been fine for me.

I'll be ordering Elite 3's from Dennis Kirk any day...they'll beat anyones advertised price by $1...which will end up being $205 shipped...
i'll mount them myself...have them balanced at an indy about 7 miles away, unless i buy a balancer b4 then...

Metzler ME 880's.
140x18 on the front and 150x18 on the rear of my FLHR. I like them a lot, but as Mega says, checking and maintaining the pressure on a weekly basis you get a lot better life out of them..
