New and improved breather assy..

14 bucks each, come as an assy. they replace the cast aluminum ones that are stock. Suppose to have a thicker sponge to stop oil mist and apparently different flow. I also drilled out the drain holes to .120

Front is done, now gotta find 2 hrs to do the rear. The rear is where the leak is, did the front first cause it easier...also thats where the gurgling sound is coming from, afraid of what I might find when I open it, I suspect a blown o ring between the rocker supports and rocker housing.

The aluminum ones were the new and improved ones to replace the "plastic" ones that had warpage problems on the earlier twin cam engines.

These are stamped steel.. They are different from the ones I have now, the sponge is much denser, drop in assy.

So the surface we're seeing in the pic is like a bonded on gasket?

Does it have the "rubber" flapper check valve thingy?

Yea, its on the other side, same basic design, just replaces the aluminum breather assy. its suppose to be on all 2010 and up bikes and is what the dealerships are using to retrofit, so Im told. The sponge is definitly denser than the white ones, air will get through but no way oil will.

So I've been told by the guys at the HD shop, I never had a venting issue so I dont expect any improvement. Blown out dipstick, but never puking out the intake.
