Something Changed, Thrumming and Stuff...
Had flats and loose neck bearings in my time but this one is new for me....
Forgive my less than technical description of what I'm experiencing. I'm religous with tire pressure checks before trips along with Progressive Monotubes in the fork tubes. Felt the bike getting twitchier on tar snakes, and now on certain corners I can feel a thrumming thru the bars. Seems to be increasing with each trip. Pulled a 120 mile loop today and it's real thats for sure. The front is cupped a little bit but minor and I cant feel anything lumpy or bumpy on the carcass. Only a little over 5 thousand miles on the damn Dunlop Just a result of the minor cupping or ?? Thanks, Dirk |

I would say yes. There is nothing you can do to stop the cupping. I think it is a product of the way we counter steer combined with firm use of the front brake.
I know someone who took a belt sander to the sides of their tire because they got tired of the noise in the turns. Made a mess, but seemed to cure the thrumming in the turns. (I had to google thrumming)

Had the same thrumming from rear tire because I didn't check pressure and ran it low for a few hundred and cupped the tire. Or just for you tyre.

1.) It's probably the tire.
However> 43.) I would check the wheel bearings to be safe.
