kerosine vs stp oil treatment

I have an 84.5 EVO. The other day I stopped in traffic waiting on a draw bridge. Being Novemeber and not really hot...about 78 degrees I sat there in neutral. The vehicle in front, a delivery van (like UPS)...it was hot behind him. I sat there for about 15 minutes...not thinking about the heat build up...
When the bridge lowered and I took off...it ran horridly and I had low oil pressure. I know it is from the lack of moving air...I should have killed the power and waited.

As I said it is an 84.5 EVO...I figure I have some sludge or deposits in the ports in he engine...so I am going to flush it out this weekend.

The manual calls for kerosine...but what about a product like STP OIL Treatment? Which do you recommend.

Why not just use kereosene? If its what the manual calls for. Around here its fairly easy to get. Is it hard to get in Florida? Would diesel work?

Did it run any better after cooled down?

Also curious where in manual and for what reason it recomended flushing with kereosene. Is there a something in the engine section about this?

Be interested to here what it is. I guess I am not sure this is whats wrong. But thats just a feeling from my bowels.

I don't know from your info why you would think something was clogged up in your EVO motor. Did I miss something? Do you have an oil cooler? Are you in a warm area of the country? An oil cooler with a thermostat, Amsoil full synthetic (Stay away from anything with the MOCO label in liquid form) are foolproof ways to keep engine temps down. I know, I run a turbo EVO 97 inches and use the crashbar, a thermostat, and Amsoil. Rarely does the oil get over 218 degrees even on a hot day in traffic. I pound this motor. I run programmable race ignition that gives 3 dead revs to overcome hi compression setup-which is not the case with a turbo but when the motor is hot it starts only after a long grind as it is flooded so I don't turn it off unless it is going to sit a while. Works for me. Hope this helps, Friday.
