Especially if the windshield has been on the bike for any length of time and exposed to direct sunlight for several hours at a time.

I never used it on mine, I just sanded it with fine 300 grit paper I believe.

oldmick has failed to amuse us
I used MEK as a finishing step on two of my windshields, one was over 10 years old, and the other about 3 think. No problem on either one.

Something went right for once (or twice), I guess.

You know that you can get a brand new piece of lexan, cut to fit in different lengths? I bought mine from a guy on Ebay - about $80 each. Nothing like brand new lexan.

Ordered a windshield from http://www.clearviewshields.com/shop/product.php?id=11
and I like the idea of the 'recurve' making it possible to run a shorter windshield and get the same wind/bug protection.

Tinted; curved; 8" -- $86. Ended up being around $102 with tax and shipping. One month back order; time of year I guess.

I put the 9.5" on my EG. Great windshield and the recurve keeps the wind up and over me, but I can still look over the shield. I love it.

So if you cut it two inches too short, how would you lengthen it?

And BTW, the SE bike flipper is on back order along with the patented recurverator for existing windshields.
