I can walk out the door without wait for handguns in Arkansas, as I've passed for licensing. Sanity, for the first time in a long time.
All a suppressor does is protect your hearing, if it is attached to a firearm. Totally harmless if not attached to a firearm. Getting a stamp for a silencer is like paying 200 for a brick. Its only dangerous by itself if you throw it at someone. Approaching this from a public safety standpoint as a protector of hearing is the way to go. I bet it passes. Bob

I was reading up on European shooting sports some time ago and found that silencers are very common over there. In fact, they consider it quite rude to show up at a range and blast away with an un-silenced shooting arn.
