I think what helped throw them was I went in with a suit, shirt and tie on carrying a briefcase.The briefcase had the obligatory tin of spam in it. I also had piccys and witnesses of the 100ml of oil that came out of the gearbox. Piccys of the still intact clear varnish nail polish that was unbroken on the engine oil plug, oil filter and primary chaincase. The mechanic that turned out to be useless had been sacked but it never occurred to then to recall the bikes he has supposedly worked on to be checked.

All of the above but usually means just fcuked up and not working, if an indivudual part is knacked it's beyond repair, but knackered with the er in it means really tired, as in coming home after a hard day at work. Keep tuned for further news bulletines.

Almost correct but there is no k at the beginning of nicked, it comes from the slang word the "nick" as in jail. Hence the term the old bill (police) and the old nick (jail) eg got nicked by the old bill and had to spend the night in the nick.
