Raked front end

Yosamite just got the front end raked on his Dyna. He also got the turn signals relocated, and some chrome engine and tranny pieces. Installed a tan ostrich Corbin seat too. I hope to get pics tomorrow, but here is a preview pic.

That's SHARP!!

I'd LOVE to have something like that in the stable.

Yes. He went with all chrome, but a lot of the pieces were brushed aluminum. The mechanic called and complained, and Seeger offered to replace them all with chrome. Overall he's pretty happy with it.

I'm curious as to how that bike handles at higher speeds, say 75 or 85 miles an hour? A buddy had to take his front end off (5 degree rake) due to the front end shaking violently!

The Seeger kit is unique, in that it supposidly retains stock trail. Marc said it handled better on the highway than it did before.

I get to ride it tomorrow and see for myself.

The reason I told Marc to go with Seeger, is because it was developed in Germany and meets their standards for Autoban use. Turn radius is wider, but overall handling remains constant.

so yur sayin, that it will be just as fast to change direction left/right as it did before ?

do you think that in a high speed curve with a decreasing radius that it will 'push' and have a tendency to run to the outside ?

let me know what you think of the handling after you ride it..... being subjective and really testing it for speed of direction change and hangin in in the tight curves at speed

Just a question for now, since I haven't ridden it yet, but:
If the wheelbase is longer, but overall geometry has not changed, why would handling be different?

I'm no rocket surgeon, but if the wheel base changed wouldn't the geometry have to change with it?

Looks good...
