Tuesday night dinner at the Hungry Flea
We are planning to stop at the Hungry Flea for a good old fashioned country dinner after the group ride to the AR/MO 43 shrines on Tuesday (per the Dooficial itinerary). The Hungry Flea is about 20 miles east of ES on Highway 63 along the planned route for Tuesday. The plan is to arrive there between 5:30-6:30 and then ride back to the hotel to commence the evening festivities. The owner of the Hungry Flea is going to bring some extra help in on Tuesday to help feed us as quickly as possible but since the food is made to order, it will not be a fast food experience. The restaurant is incorporated as part of a very large antique and crafts store (all air conditioned) so there plenty of room to walk around and look at if you want to stretch your legs after placing your order.
As the folks that went to the Hungry Flea last year can vouch for, their food is top notch and it is a great place to visit! The cost is $10.95 per person and they serve family style portions. Here is the menu so that everyone can have an idea of what to expect- Main Course Fried Chicken* Fried Chicken Breast Strips Chicken Fried Steak Catfish* ($2.00 extra per person) Pot Roast Country Ham Smoked Turkey Sides Green Beans Corn Salad French Fries Potatoes Fried Biscuits (come with every meal) Tea, soft drinks and water are available to drink. *Most popular items on menu I'd like to give them a good estimate on how many people will be with us by Tuesday morning when we hit the road so please take time to let us know in the above poll.
