I got if for Christmas...am currenlty reading it...it is wordy and it definitely was written in the very early 70's....but I do like it. It was a best seller when it came out. Once I trudge through the first 100 pages or so it started to make sense or at least sense enough that you got where the author was coming from ....

It starts with " This book is not really about Zen or motorcyles" I should have put it down then back in 1976 even though it made more sense than than it does now. It was really a hippy thing so it should be compulsary reading to join this forum.

I am only about 1/2 through the book right now. I need to sit down dedicate some time to finishing it one of these days.

IMO, the book is basically about epistemology.
