The new Dyna

Last week I bought a 2002 FXDX with 3550 miles on it. I probably shouldn't tell Noodles how well it handles because of the steeper than normal rake. Nor should I tell him the suspension on the Dyna Sport is quite good because of the adjustable dampening in the rear and dampening and rebound in the front. He won't want to hear how the 5 speed gearing makes this the perfect town pounder, either.

He will want to know that the brakes aren't as good as the Brembos are on my 'Glide and that I wish it had them. I'll have to try a set of Lyndall pads. Nor would he like how quiet the stock mufflers are. Ruthless's Sporty is louder. A SuperTrapp 2:1 Supermeg should fix that right up.

This bike is just right for me. I've never really been a chopper kind of guy so the standard look and positioning is perfect for me.

I've found the primary case is weeping between the outer and inner covers. And the neutral indicator works intermittently. Minor issues.

I've already ordered a new needle for the carb to fix the lean condition in the mid-throttle area.

Here are a few pics:
