I just tried SW moto. Not a happy camper. Placed the order on Friday. Tuesday the tire showed up. So I spent last night removing the left side rhinehart so I could remove the axle. Not enough slack in these pipes to do like I used to with the SE Slip-ons.

So today while I'm working Patti drives out to my favorite indy tire mounting shop to take care of it.. I get a call saying it's the wrong tire. Ordered a E3 MU90B16, that's whats on the order sheet, and what's on the packing invoice and the shipping address sticker. However the tire is a MV90B15.

I told Patti she better call cuz I might reach through the phone and choke someone. What I hear back is they can refund your purchase or send you another tire, but it will be 4 days minimum before delivery. Since it's 4 working days that puts the tire here next fricking Monday... Meanwhile my bikes on the jack in the garage and beautiful weather for riding to work (165 miles round trip).

In the end, I told her to get a refund. UPS will pick up the tire tomorrow and the credit will appear when they get the tire. Asshats.

So, I check my other sources but nobody can get it here before the weekend without exorbant delivery charges.. Then I talk with a rep at Powersportsuperstore.com. Tire will be shipped tomorrow and arrive Friday from Pennsylvania warehouse. I explaned the shipping mix up with SW Moto and he's going to have them double check the tire before shipping. It was a few dollars more than sw moto, but still much cheaper than anywhere locally.

Be back on the road Saturday.

Oh yeah, and when Patti told them I didn't call cuz I might reach through the phone and choke someone they said that's threatening and they nearly hung up. Sounds like they might get a lot of that.

Sorry, I just had to vent. Rant over.

Good... glad you got it handled... some idiot in the warehouse that could care less just cost the company quite a few present and future dollars... and all they are worried about is how Patti came across on the phone...

I wish they were an option for my Street Bob. 17" rims

looks like I am gonna have to go with the stock tires, I plan to go to the 180/60B/17 option tire for it. I don't want the kit either.

well that sucks!

I had been using American Moto Tire, in another thread here Don recomended Southwest Moto Tire. They were a little higher unless you ordered two tires then the gave free shipping so it came out a little better. Since then I have ordered from both and always had real good luck with SWMT. The first time I ordered from them I had a long chat with the owner, at the time he explained to me that the reason AMT was usually a little cheaper was they were checking his web sight then undercutting him just a couple of bucks trying to get the business. I do remember he saying in that conversation that it used to be just he and his wife, but business had gotten so busy that he was hiring help ... sounds like they didn't find very good help.

Only 50 miles on them so far, but part of that was on rain grooved Interstate, and on-ramps and such.
Put me in the E3 camp. I'm a happy guy. They don't follow rain grooves, they are predictably responsive, plus they carry the same pressure as the stockers. Nice ride, too.

Another satisfied convert Gray.

I got double the mileage out of an E3 on the rear than any other tire. Put on new front and rear just before my journey to Nashville as I was geting ready for ES.

I switched from Avons to an E3 on the rear in September of '07. . .I immediately noticed a difference in the way she cornered and I loved it! 14,128 miles later I still love it. She's going to Cowtown this weeked for a back tire change. . .I could probably get some more mileage out of it, but with my mechanic 350 miles away and a lot of riding left to do this year, I'll push for a new one.

But the swap meet is next weekend!

What pressure is everyone running on the e3's? I've been runnig 36 in the front 40 in the rear on my ultra. Is that right?
