I just bought myself an Iron Gym pull-up bar to use at home, too. That's my Christmas present to myself. I swear I'm gonna get to where I can do these unassisted even if it kills me. My guy at the gym keeps telling me that women don't have the upper body strength to do them. Now I gotta prove him wrong.

use a chair to help raise up or just hang there.
I bet you can do them before my bike is running again.

I hang without the straps when I do hanging knee raises. I guess that might help some. I'll have to try it with a chair and see how that works.

That's exactly what I told him! I told him I was gonna start practicing at home and faking it at the gym, then come in one day and knock out 8-10 of them by myself and surprise him.
