Yes and yes.
Sometimes, I think we are all a support organization for IT. Here's a hint for them. You are all (mostly) drones doing commodity work tasks from cookbooks who couldn't make a real technical decision to save yourselves. You produce NOTHING that can't be done by 20,000 others just like you. Most of us, and eveyone in my group, have advanced training and technical certification in multiple technologies which we use daily to keep a 2 unit nucler plant running safely.
