The Plank
For Christmas I received an Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality device. At my age I am no longer impressed by much. But this thing certainly sparks the WOW factor.
It's far from just shoot em up games and car races. With this thing you can experience the world in stark 360 degree, true to life reality. There is one game that tests the mind/eye conflict. Your logical mind is telling you it's not real, you are in no danger. But your vision is screaming NO WAY ! My grandson got one and it is entertaining to watch him whirl around the room while he plays. He warned me it would make me sick, so I looked into it from a few inches away. Yep, I'm with Mrs. Fe Butte on this one.

I've had the same issue with those style games years ago, so I gave them up.

I got one for free a number of years ago for preordering a phone. None of the apps or games that were out at the time (very few, too be fair) impressed me, so I use it as a dust magnet. It looks like they've come a long ways in those few years. My fear of heights would freak out in that game!

Every few months they force me into the full size version and try to convince me that I’m on fire or about to hit a mountain. Great fun for only $30,000.
