how hard is it ?? any tips ?? I don't want to ruin the grip if possible ( stock grip )

Small screwdriver, some soapy water in a spray bottle may work! That is if it's not glued!!!

get it spinning by twisting back and forth and use an unscrewing motion to twist it off

I am not even sure they glue them anymore-loosen the clutch cover assembly, t15's I think and it slides out, there are grooves in the grip that lock into the clutch cover assembly much like the throttle side

like my FIL, for instance....then he wants my help to change bars....
