Oh, Mike, what a sweet idea! I know that lovely lady of yours would delight in watching you work out and wash clothes at the same time. Just make sure she has a comfortable chair to sit in and her favorite beverage to enjoy while she observes your labor.

My wife bought "us" that rowing machine several years ago and of course we never use it but she had a good time shopping and spending money. Its not even practical to hang clothes on like a treadmill.
I recommend you go out and get a high quality obviously expensive jar of wrinkle cream for your wife. I'm sure she will love the thoughtfulness in your choice.

I had no idea how many of y'all cherish death wishes. Wouldn't it be easier and less distressing to your significant others if you just ran your bike under a semi and saved them the jail terms?
