Allen wrench goes in the middle, and use a box end wrench on the locknut to prevent slippage.

Are you using a service manual?

Got a service manual, watched the video. When I try to loosen the locknut, the whole clutch assembly turns.

Not if you use the allen wrench in the middle to hold it with at the same time you're loosening the locknut. You have to do both... that's why you use a box end wrench for the locknut.

Come on now, that's exactly the list of things I've either done or am doing to the Limited (with the exception of the bars). It's not like I've gone off the deep end with it.

My clutch cable is destroyed, and that took less than 4,000 miles for it to happen.

I have to think there was a problem, which is why it went so far out of adjustment on our trip......

If the nut is so tight that you'be slipped off it once, a regular box end won't do it.
I have the proper wrench tattoed on my arm, actually...

The chrome one, not the red one. Craftsman offset box end.
A regular box end will hit and won't go all the way down on the nut.

Cool Boss, can I borrow your arm?

Something ain't right with it Davey, that's for sure. I'm gonna pick up a new cable tomorrow, along with an offset box-end wrench. Then I'm gonna pull the exhaust, swap the cable, adjust the clutch, change both the primary and transmission fluids, and see what happens. If it keeps doing it (and it's still doing it, just not as badly as that day), it'll go to the dealer and I'll start bitching about warranty work.

What I am not going to do, is put in a S/E 6-speed and a Barnett clutch like Vader has. No sir. Not gonna do that.

I hope not. Unless you're planning on getting a new tattoo.
