Lower Motor mount

Went to replace lower motor mount. Was told to undo rectifier and 3 bolts holding mount in place. Jacked engine up as high as i could. up to gas tank. SOB if there still wasnt room to get the old mount out and even if i did there probably isnt room to get new one in place. Anything I miss? Any hints.. 2002 Road King.
I did not undo the alignment linkage and am not sure that would have made a difference anyway.

Hmm....Here is a pic of old style and new style mount. Yours looks like this? Shouldn't be hard to get out...if you take out all the bolts.

You have to unbolt and raise the tank. Just remove the console, the two forward bolts and one at the rear, disconnect the fuel line at the tank and push the cross-over line behind the coil, then lift it by stuffing a few old towels into the tunnel. It's easy after that.

Looks like that exactly.The problem was getting the engine lifted high enough to slide the mount out between the engine and frame brackets

Thank you sir for confirming what I thought I was going to have to do. This is a little more than I want to do before my trip tomorrow so it goes on the list of stuff to do when I get back....

yeah after i got it so high i figured i would have to do that

Tilting the tank is pretty easy. Just remove back one, and loosen the front ones. I shove an old oil bottle under it by the seat.

The 1st time I did this, I unplugged the conncector for the ignition on my road king. So don't push it to far.
